Identity Theft

We battled identity fraud a couple of years ago and it was a nightmare!

We had no idea of course that DH's info had been stolen until collection agencies started calling our home demanding that we pay several hundreds of unpaid cellphone bills! It was crazy! It went on for a few months before they got off our backs.

The process to clear everything to make sure that nothing else was opened fraudulently took a while. We were actually fortunate that it was only that one cellphone account that these thieves opened in my husband's name.

Since then, we have been monitoring our credit info using Lifelock. Hopefully, this will really protect us and prevent any more instance of ID and credit fraud.
