Greatest Mom Award

Yen has sweetly awarded me this badge about a week ago...thank you so much sweetie. If I were to be honored for something in this world, I would really want to be known as a great mom. Wouldn't that be the best? Especially when your own kids think you're the greatest mom ever! The greatest feeling in the world!

World’s Greatest Mom’s: 1. Just me, Eds 2. Yen as Creative In Me 3. Yen as Little Peanut 4. Yen as Pea in a Pod 5. Yen as Sugar Magnolias 6. Yen as {Me and Mine} 7. Joy as Shine Like Stars

There is one mom on my mind right now who I think really needs to be honored for what she is doing. My friend Liz has taken on responsibilities she could have chosen to say no to but because of love, she is doing it. And for this, I take my hat off to you...you so deserve to be called the world's greatest mom!

Speaking of moms, how was your recent mother's day? I know I have not blogged about it at all. Mine was spent at home. DH had work that day so we did not get to celebrate or anything. We ate out on Tuesday night the following week. But you have to give props to DH for this sweet sweet gesture. Before leaving for work, he left me this message in our bathroom mirror. Say it with me ladies... awwwww... LOL!
Seriously, he scored some major brownie points did he not?
He had this bouquet of flowers to greet me. and when I came down, he had another bouquet of tulips in my work table. It was really an awesome way to start my day.
The kids also gave me some stuff they made in school. DD1 had given me flowers earlier in the week. I guess the concept of waiting till the big day is still lost on her! LOL! DS, on the other hand, had several presents. He gifted me with a necklace with a pendant that he won at his class raffle. He said he chose that gift because he thought it would make a nice mother's day present for me. How sweet, no? Instead of getting a prize for himself, he thought of me. He also made me a bead bracelet. I tell you, these little trinkets are really worth more than any designer jewelry in the world. But the best gift they gave me that day was their best behavior! They tried so hard not to give me a hard time so they kept helping me with chores, they stopped themselves when they were launching into an argument. They kept saying that they want to behave because it's mother's day. Now, if only it was mother's day everyday!! Wouldn't that be awesome?!
