Viva Las Vegas

We're in Vegas now. We're nicely settled in our hotel room. The kids are going crazy - jumping on the beds, eating chips with crumbs falling all over the floor - stuff they are not allowed to do if we were home! LOL!
We arrived earlier this afternoon and went to my friend's house in Henderson. We would have arrived sooner if not for the heavy downpour that delayed us. First of all, this was the first heavy rains to come. It is nice because there's been a drought but did it have to happen TODAY? when we were traveling. It would not have been much of a concern if we did not have our bags on the cargo bag atop the vehicle! We were so worried our clothes would get wet because the rains were really heavy! Thank goodness, they held up and none of our clothes are wet.
Anyhoo, we're here now, safe and sound and dry.
I'm staying in with the kids.
Bro has already taken the shuttle out into the strip. DH said he might go later on when the kids and I are nicely tucked into our beds. LOL!
I hope it will clear up tomorrow so we can take the kids walking along the strip. There are some fun free shows outside the hotels that I think the kids will like - the volcano at the Mirage, the pirate show at TI. We'll probably be at Circus circus too for some kid fun.i
