Reading Redefined

Yesterday, I took DD1 to her Kindergarten screening. DH had work so the rest of the kids had to tag along.
During the drive to the school ...

DD1: I don't want to go to Kindergarten. I want to stay in preschool. Why will I go to Kindergarten?
DS: Because you need to grow up. In Kindergarten, you'll learn new things. They'll teach you how to read and write and...
DD1: But I already know how to read. I just don't know the words!

LOL! I was literally laughing out loud as I overheard their conversation at the back of the car. I'm still laughing just recalling it. Sigh...DD1 totally cracks me up!

DD1 is so witty. She cracks me up to when I read about your anecdotes of her. She's such a darling :)
