Trick or treat [pictures included]
So... I did take out the kids trick or treating last night. DH was out so I lugged all 4 around. Thank goodness for the double stroller! As for giving out treats, I had a tub of pretzels out by our front door with a note to take one each. Total honor system. And I think no one took advantage. As for the kids, they had fun. We were the first ones out at around 6 pm. We had to go out early to finish in time. I wanted to get to church at 7 pm. All Saint's Day is a Holy day of obligation here so we needed to go to church. At our parish, there was the 7 pm mass last night and this morning at 7:30 that were in English. Tonight's service was going to be in Spanish so I knew I had to get to church last night. There was no way I'd be able to get up and get the kids ready before &:30 this morning! Anyhoo, we made it to church, albeit a bit late. DS said it was a little embarrassing to come to church in their costumes. I told him we had no choice.
Well, before heading out, I took the kids out back for some photos. I am sooo bummed these pics came out grainy. Ugh! I sooo need to learn to use my camera. I'm trying not to use the flash but I suppose I should've this time? Oh well...live and learn!
Enjoy the photos!
You can just imagine how difficult it was to take a decent photo of all 4 kids without any help. DD3 kept crawling to me. She finally found a leaf that fascinated her and had to taste it for herself. Whatever to keep her seated, right? LOL! Don't worry, I quickly took the leaf from her after this shot. And yes, this was the last shot I took. I think it came out pretty darn nice considering my working conditions! LOL!
Here is my Wonder baby! She's wearing a wonder woman costume. She did not want to sit still at all! She was oblivious of course to everything going on around. But she was so good at sitting on the stroller. I did have to put a sweater and pants on her because it did get chilly.
Here's my Snow white... I look at it now and it looks like she's screaming or crying, no? She was actually being a goofy here - totally not princess-like at all but that's who she is - my goofy and mischievous but totally sweet little princess!
Now, my Cinderella. Compared to my Snow White, she is all prim and proper as you can see - nicely posing for Mommy! The ultimate princess, I tell you. She even asked for some sparkly lotion to complement her princess costume.
And this here is my very own pirate. He is so self-conscious now with posing and stuff. His smiles are so "fake" and posed so I took candid shots of him instead of the usual posed shots. Sigh...he's getting to be really big, isn't he?
Oh, and he's invited to his first sleep-over at his classmate's house on Saturday. It's a birthday party/sleepover for all the boys in his class. He wants to go but is a little apprehensive because he still has "accidents" while sleeping. We'll see what he decides come Saturday.
Hope you and your kids had a bountiful trick or treating! LOL. Leave me a comment if you've posted your Halloween stories so I can come and visit you. I don't really have time to randomly blog hop anymore but if you point me to a post you want to share, I'd gladly come over and read it. Thanks!
