A Wicked-ly good time!

I had my day off yesterday and boy did I enjoy it!

I knew some of SIL's friends whom we went to the theater with and they were all wondering where DH or the kids were. I told them I was single that day and I was having a day off.

The musical was awesome! Loved it! It was sooo funny - with all the references, etc. The music was wonderful too. I had read the book a couple of years before but to see it come to life was pretty awesome! SIL got us great seats too. We were seated on row T, right of center section of seats. Pretty awesome seats. Pantages isn't too big I think so any seat would've been ok by me. There were some binoculars for rent at the lobby but I don't know if anyone really needed any - well, maybe the ones in the balcony? Those in the orchestra would not have needed any, that's for sure! I hitched a ride with SIL and her BF who was driving a Hummer. Not exactly my type of vehicle. It seemed so boxy and big and military-like! Maybe some marine binoculars would have been the perfect accessory for riding that Hummer. LOL!

After the show, we all went to chinatown for dinner. It was a wonderful way to end the day - good food! and pretty cheap too. From what I can recall, we had seafood soup, beef stew, salt and pepper pork, garlic lobsters, orange peel chicken, 2 whole deep-fried crispy soles, stir-fried snow peas and steamed rice. We also each had a can of soda each. There were 10 of us in the group and all that just cost us $11 per person. That's including tip already! Whoa, right? It was really an all-together awesome day for me!

When I got home, the three kids were still up and waiting for me in my room. As soon as I entered my room, the exclaimed, "What took you so long?! You were gone the whole day!" LOL! You think they missed me much? LOL!

I'm glad you enjoyed your day off. You deserve all the time out you need in the world. I guess you should do it more often so you'll be recharged. Nakakapagod din ang mommy chores diba?

*hugs* enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
