Sunday Seven #10

Recent blessings:

1. I nabbed a BIG paying opportunity over at PayPerPost!
2. Start of school - DS in 1st grade and DD1 is in Pre-K. This is her first time to be in school and she was great. See my post here.
3. Bro1 is out of the hospital after being confined due to dengue fever.
4. BIL was able to babysit on short notice. I had a PTG meeting to go to on Wednesday night. I was expecting DH to be home by then but he one of his surgeries went long I guess so he was late in coming home. Thank goodness BIL was nearby and free!
5. I had dinner with 2 friends who have been away at school, one in law school and the other in PA school - both up north. It had been close to 2 years since we last got together.
6. I am sooo thankful for A/C especially because of the heat wave right now. We've hit 105 everyday since Wednesday!
7. We were able to celebrate the 50th bday of a family friend on Friday night. It was a nice intimate dinner with some time for honoring our dear Tita B.

WOW! You've had a good week! I'm glad your brother is doing better... sounds like that was a scary ordeal.

Our temps have finally cooled down to the nineties here in GA! We had a couple of weeks with temps well over 100 every day! Whew! Nineties are bad enough. Thank goodness we know that we will run and not be weary and walk and not faint if we wait upon the Lord and let him renew our strength.

I'm with Joan. It has been hot here in Georgia during August. It has been so much cooler the last few days. It's amazing that you can really notice a different between 100 degree temps and 90 degree temps, but you can.
