Ikea's America At Home Project
I found this interesting project through Katie the Scrapbook Lady's blog. And it looks like fun. From the site's home page: America At Home
No Place Like Your Home? Show Us.
The co-creator of the best-selling A Day in the Life and America 24/7 book series invites you to participate in America at Home, a nationwide photo project, September 17 to 23, 2007. For seven days, everyone in America is invited to join 100 of the nation's leading photojournalists to capture "the emotions of home." The goal of the project is to capture the extraordinary diversity that makes up American family life, representing a broad range of economic, geographic, racial, political, and socially diverse lifestyles.

Participants will receive daily photo assignments on specific themes. You can contribute your own images via a series of daily snapshots taken at the same time by millions of people throughout the week, or just shoot general photos of what makes your home special whenever you wish.
And there is supposed to be a photo mashup area where you can see images categorized by zip code so you can see what your neighbors have submitted, if any! It's like peeking through their daily lives, isn't it?
