DH may be employed in the medical industry but around here, he's my computer hardware guy. He built our desktop from scratch - spending many a days at Frys or online browsing through various deals on computer parts. I tease him that with the amount of work he puts into the computer, it probably would have cost us less to get a computer system. He begs to differ. He says he prefers building the computer because at least he knows what he wants in his computer and does not have to put in the "junk" complete systems have already. When needed, he knows he can simply add some more
IBM memory or upgrade the video card. It would be more of a hassle he says if he still has to contact customer service or tech support to make changes to his computer. Well, whatever makes him happy. As long as I have my computer ready for my scrapbooking, I don't care how he gets it to work. LOL!

Your DH is actually right. I also built my computer from scratch. Although it may be time consuming to look for parts and build the computer all together, the computer will actually last longer than expected because you got the best parts you can find for it.
