San Diego day 1
I'll try to recap our vacation per day and post some photos...We left on Tuesday at around 8 am. DH drove and used his new GPS toy to take us to La Jolla beach.

Yes, that's a huge cooler you see right there. Thank goodness we have a full-size SUV to haul our stuff. Traveling with 4 young ones means bringing a lot of stuff with you - milk, diapers, snacks. Plus the fact that we were going to the beach, so we had beach towels, beach umbrella, camp chair. Oh yeah, we brought everything! LOL!
It was a good time to be at the beach. There were not too many people yet so we got a nice spot. I did not take too many photos because all the sand was worrying me. I did not want to get sand on my new camera! LOL!

For lunch, we packed some sandwiches and juice. We left the beach after lunch and checked into our hotel. Check-in time wasn't till 3 pm but fortunately, the room was ready so we were able to check-in early. We stayed at Staybridge suites - a chain of Holiday Inn. It was just the perfect size for our family. There were 2 beds. The 3 older kids slept on one bed. DD3 and I slept on the other. DH slept on the sofa bed.
I don't know why I was sooo tired but I took a real long nap. Not even the kids napped. Just me! LOL! DH was so sweet and got all the kids washed up and ready for church. We went to the vigil mass for the Feast of the Assumption the next day. After church, we went to my dad's sister's house and had dinner there. I don't know why I did not take more photos. I still need to get used to being the photographer. LOL.

We didn't stay too late as we had a full day plus we knew we were going to have another full day the following day. My aunt kept remarking that she could not believe I have 4 kids when she remembered me as the small one back then. As I was attending to my kids, she kept smiling and shaking her head! LOL! I think most everyone who sees our family does that! LOL!
