Praise God
God is soooo good. He really keeps His children safe from harm.Last night, a frightening experience happened. Someone had tried to break into DH's car which was parked right in our driveway. Scary!
Actually, the person had already entered his car. BIL was parked right beside and was still inside his car. His car is heavily tinted so I guess the burglar could not see him from outside. BIL first thought that it was me because it was a female burglar. Then he realized it wasn't me so he text msgd DH to tell him to come down because someone was breaking into his car. At this point, BIL's plan was to surprise the burglar when she came out of the car and then catch her. However, DH, upon receiving the txt msg peeked out our bedroom window (still half-asleep wondering what the heck BIL was talking about! LOL) and when he saw her coming out of the car shouted "Hey!" The burglar ran of course. BIL ran after he. DH ran down and speeded his car to try to catch the burglar. The female burglar had an accomplice(tall man) waiting for her by the compound's gate who let her out and blocked the gate to keep BIL from running after them. BIL managed to get out but they had gotten away already. The good thing was they threw on the ground that bag of stuff that they got from DH's car (IPOD, radio's face plate, some other stuff). So nothing was officially stolen but it kept us really shaken. We called in the police. They arrived pretty quickly, took the description of the burglars, checked the car. But there really wasn't much they could do.
Praise God that no harm came upon DH and BIL. When DH sped away to try to run after the burglars, I was scared for him. I was jolted from my sleep when he shouted "Hey!" and was not really sure what was happening. Then I read the txt msg in the phone and got really scared. What if these burglars had weapons or something? DH could have been hurt. Thank God no one was hurt.
Praise God BIL was inside his car at that time. And that he was staying this particular night at our place. He only sleeps 3 nights out of the week in our house when he needs to go for his hospital rotations for school. The hospital is nearer our place than his place.
Praise God DH got up to take a look at the txt msg. He was really sleepy but decided to take a look at who was calling him at such a late hour. BIL did not want to call bcause he did not want to risk being heard or seen(the cellphone has some light that might be seen thru the tinted windows).
I'm just so thankful that God continues to cover us with his blanket of protection.
Praise God indeed!
