You make me happy

There is a journaling challenge going on at RAKscraps and we're doing an emotions album. This month's theme is happiness. This is the page I made. Many things make me happy. It does not take much to put a smile on my face. I delight in the simple things. It has indeed been a blessing. I think the Lord has given me the grace to find happiness in simple things. He is in all of His creation. Should we not delight then in all things?

I find that happiness is really a matter of choice. And I find that happiness is much more easily achieved when I look beyond myself. When my gaze is not directed at myself, I am happier. When I find myself unhappy and dissatisfied, it is often during those times when my focus is mostly on what I want, what I think I need but cannot get. These things then overshadow all the good things I have in my life, those things I do not need but have been generously given to me.

Thank you, Lord. You make me happy!
