I must be doing something right

Last night, as it was almost dinner time, I asked the kids to wash their hands - as I usually do.
Our pre-dinnertime ritual is this:
Wash hands.
Pick out who sets the placemats, who sets the plates and bowls and who set the spoons and forks.
Dinner.

I was still on the computer when I asked them to wash their hands. I told them to wait for me as I was almos finished with the scrapbook page I was working on. When I finally came down, the two proudly showed me that they had set the table by themselves!(except for the plates since they couldn't reach those) DS told me, "S you don't have to do it anymore, we did it for you!"

Say it with me. Awwww... that just made my heart skip.

I just had to tell myself, "I must be doing something right in raising them."

Routine does help - a lot! And DS' personality is kinda type a, kwim? So routines are comfortable for him.
