The Christmas rush is through...

in fact, after I was done with my Christmas crafts last week, I felt no stress or rush at all!!! And I felt relaxed and easygoing, soaking in everything that the season had to offer. Last Saturday, we went to church and had dinner out then DH suggested we go to the mall. We really did not have anything to buy so while everyone seemed rushing, we were simply a family taking a stroll, window shopping. It was nice. We had a pleasant time.

Even on the 24th, despite the number of preparations/chores that needed to be done, I was unrushed. There was no sense of urgency within that would have caused stress. Instead, I felt like calm and carefree. Things did not have to be perfect. It felt so liberating!

After the noche buena, we passed the time by playing Wii. DH had rented 2 games at the store and it was fun. I actually am a little sore right now because muscles that had not been used for a long time were suddenly used while playing Wii! LOL!

At around 10 pm, it was time to open presents but not before picture-taking of course! Too bad, BIL had work last night. It would have been a nice complete family photo!
Then the kids were given the go signal to open their presents and they went crazy. Each child did not really have that many presents to open but we do have 4 kids so the "loot" seemed so much! LOL!

Today, we spent the morning in bed. Had pandesal and hot chocolate for brunch. Played Wii again. Had leftovers for dinner. It was all in all a nice day spent with family. Now, DH and the kids are sleeping happily. I'll be joining them in a bit.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well, spent with those you love the most!
