The post on shaking things up

I've shaken things up a little bit in our house. I've rearranged the furniture and it's really given a different kind of feel to the family room. The loveseat that used to be in the living room is now facing the dining room. It's become a comfy place for the kids to sit and read or simply lay as I get dinner ready.

What prompted the restyling of our downstairs? Well, DH, as a gift for passing his boards, bought a new HDTV. It now sits nicely at the entertainment built-in in the family room. This one new piece prompted the changes. Of course, the entertainment center got cleaned out...then the bookshelves...then as I was cleaning, I felt the urge to just fix up the house. Now, I'm on the lookout for new pieces to add to the rooms. I'm also looking for some audio racks for the family room to complement the sleek new TV. *smiles*

DH was really happy to see the changes I made. He's told me that he wants me to keep decorating and keeping the house homier. I teased him that it would cost money. Well, he is looking for a job now so money should not be much of a problem soon. LOL!
