Parent-Teacher Conferences

DS and DD1 were off from school yesterday because it's that time their parent-teacher conferences. Actually, DD1 was supposed to have hers last Thursday but I asked it to be rescheduled for Friday so DH will only need to be off on one day.
Anyhoo, the conferences with their respective teachers went well.
From the teachers' descriptions, the kids are pretty much the same way in school as they are at home. So, I was not really surprised much with the progress reports given by the teachers.
With DD1, my main concern was if she was going to be a fit at St. Joseph's next year when she enters Kindergarten. I've always seen her as a more free spirit compared to DS. I KNEW DS would be a perfect fit for a traditional school. His personality fits the organized set schedule of a traditional school. With DD1, however, I was not so sure. DD1's teacher assured me that she thinks DD1 will do well in that kind of a setting. DD1's teacher observed that DD1 likes order and schedule. She thrives and works well when she knows exactly what to expect. You know, she's right. That is DD1. She does not do so well with changes. It takes her a while to get herself situated so when changes occur, the order she likes is disturbed and she does not like that. And since, traditional schools are more rigid in their skeds and activities, I think she will fit right in. So, I guess there was no reason to worry at all.
