Sixth Sense
The sixth sense, third eye...whatever you may call it - it's the extra sensitivity to paranormal activities. I know of some people who have this ability, MIL being one of them.I'm guessing that it's a little scary to have that ability. I know I wouldn't want it although lately, I've been spooking myself. Late at night, usually when everyone's asleep and I'm still on the computer, sometimes, I do a double take because I *think* I see a shadow at the corner of my eye. Actually, it's happened even during the day. Spooky. I tell myself that it's my own shadow that I saw. I try not to think about it at all but sometimes... can't help but be spooked.
Like I mentioned, MIL can sense these things. When DH and I were newly married, we stayed at one of the Condo Hotels in Greenhills in Manila. It was a really nice place but MIL was spooked the moment she stepped into the lobby. She sensed that there was a heavy presence in the building. When we told her that there was a graveyard nearby, it immediately confirmed her suspicions. There was another instance when she sensed some presence near my family home in Quezon City. Directly in front of our house, there was a wooded area that led to the park. She sensed that there was something in there. Eerily enough, she wasn't the first one to tell us about it. The wooded area has since been cleared and I've been told that they could not feel the "presence" there anymore.
I'm a big fraidy cat when it comes to paranormal stuff. So I always tell MIL not to tell me about her "senses" till after we leave an area because for sure, I won't be able to sleep or be comfortable at a place she says has something otherwordly going on.
I won't bother them. Don't bother me. Let's exist together in harmony.
