First Communion

First Communion

I know it's too soon - DS has only started 1st grade after, but time flies so fast that before we know it, he'll be in second grade already and preparing for his first communion.

I remember my first communion. We were dressed in our white gala uniforms with a white headdress of flowers. We practiced and practiced for the ceremony. Our teachers making sure we knew when to kneel, when to stand, what prayers to say. I remember that some of my classmates gave out stampitas as remembrance of that special day.

For DS, I'd like the day to be a real special day of celebration. I'm certainly thinking of sending out first communion invitations to his godparents. I want him to feel that this is an extra special day to thank God and we should celebrate it. I'm not planning on a lavish party or anything. Just something simple at home with those dearest to DS' heart.
