Counting my blessings

After my whining about my kids, I need to remind myself that I have been blessed - a LOT and in so many ways. Writing down my blessings when I'm feeling irritated or annoyed or depressed is a way to get myself up again. It is so easy to wallow in self-pity but I will not allow myself that. I don't want to go there.

30 reasons to be happy about my life (why 30? I just want a nice even number.)
1. God loves me.
2. I have a husband who loves me.
3. I have 4 beautiful kids.
4. I have a brand new DSLR camera on its way here.
5. We are going on vacation to San Diego next week.
6. DH is graduating tomorrow.
7. And we're eating out to celebrate,
8. which means I don't have to cook! Yay!
9. We are all healthy.
10. We have enough food to keep us satisfied.
11. We have a house we can call our own.
12. I have scrapbooking as a creative outlet.
13. I am a member of Scrap Artist's creative team.
14. I am a stay-at-home mom.
15. I have a housekeeping service that comes once a month to help me clean.
16. And they're coming tomorrow morning!
17. I bought myself a new Bible - small enough to keep in my purse and it's in pink!
18. I've been earning some money with paid blogging.
19. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood.
20. We are members of a lovely parish.
21. We are members of a Catholic charismatic community,
22. where we have made good friends who love us dearly.
23. We have technology that makes webcasts possible,
24. in fact, we video chatted with my parents and bro last night.
25. I have a growing relationship with my in-laws.
26. I am free to be who I am without fear of being judged.
27. My children are happy.
28. I have a personal relationship with God.
29. He is a faithful God.
30. I am alive!
