My weekend

My college friend, I, came into town on Thursday night and we've been having a blast just hanging out together. She teaches at Maryland and took advantage of the summer break to vacation out here. Of course, she's been tagging along on our errands and play dates. But she does not mind ... I hope! LOL! On Friday, we went to my MOMs group. The moms discussed about traditions while the kids had water play. Oh my goodness, DD2 is burnt! Or should I say tanned... because I put sunblock lotion on her so she did not have the red itchy sun burn. Instead she came out dark!!! She's my dark beauty. She did not want to get out of the kiddie pool. Even after I had showered them and got them dressed into dry clothes, she kept asking if she could get back into the pool. Needless to say, they all had a grand time.
Then, that evening, we traveled to OC to meet up with DH's classmates from high school. Two of his friends were in town for a wedding so we met up with them at the house of another high school classmate. It was a night of good food and fun company. The kids also got to play with the daughter of one of DH's friends.
Saturday was spent just hanging out at home. DH had to work so we were stuck at home.
Sunday morning was spent in church and doing some grocery shopping. Again, my friend tagged along of course while BIL baby sat the kids so that we did not have to drag the whole gang to the store. Then, later in the afternoon, DH got off work early so we were able to take my friend I, to Hollywood. And wouldn't you know it, it was the premiere of the Harry Potter movie so Hollywood Blvd. was closed. We arrived after the stars had gone into the theater already. We were trying to wait for them to come out to catch a glimpse of the stars but it was getting late already and the kids getting hungry. So we decided to start walking back to the car. But as we waited in corner, we saw some girls and photogs running towards the opposite corner. We *think* it was Emma Watson who was in the car but cannot be 100% sure since we just saw a glimpse of her as the car drove past us. So that was our brush with the stars. Hehehe...
If you don't hear from me much this week, you'll know that we've been busy entertaining our guest and having fun. I'll be back next week hopefully!
