As end of school approaches, and summer is eagerly awaited, I've been thinking of activities to keep my young son busy. He's really not that hard to entertain but I don't want him or any of the other kids wasting the summer away indoors. There is so much outdoor fun to be had! It's summertime after all!Our city is having weekly nighttime movies in the park. It's free kids' movies that they show on big projector screens. I'm planning to take the kids, bring a blanket, have a picnic/dinner and enjoy the movie.Another fun nighttime activity that maybe cool to do in our backyard would be some star gazing. Summer nights usually mean clear nights with lots of possiblity of nighttime sky gazing. There are cool meade telescopes available, particularly the MySky. How awesome would it be to have one in the backyard, and then sleep outside in a tent or something. Something worth planning, you think?
