March round-up

Questions used as guideline by Katie the Scrapbook Lady

What books and/or magazines did I read this month?

I finally received the first issue of Digital Scrapbooking magazine and have subscribed to it.

What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?

Movies? I saw "The Departed" on DVD. Was highly recommended by SIL. It was good but boy did I get a headache watching it! It was sooo intense - either that or I hadn't sat down to watch a full-length film in a long time that my eyes were strained! Hahaha... It was very engaging. I found myself burrowing my eyebrows the whole movie, because Leo had that intense pained expression throughout. And talking about Leo, how gorgeous is he?! OMG!

What special days did I celebrate and how?

We celebrated BIL's bday the Sunday after his actual bday. We ate at Roadhouse grill. Yummy bread. Good food!!!

What gifts did I give and/or receive?

We gave BIL a gift certificate to JCPenney's. Yeah, very practical.

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?

The cough and cold bug has come and gone a couple of times, not even sparing the baby. :(

What special or unusual purchases did I make?

I had my own handwriting turned into a font. Hehehe...cool huh?

What were my accomplishments this month?

I made a hardbound book for a friend's daughter who celebrated her 18th birthday. It was so fun and fulfilling to do. and it felt good when she said that she loved it! It printed really well. Was very pleased with it.

In scrapping news, I was March guest CT for Darcy Baldwin's font creations. Then, Wndgefluester designs contacted me and asked if I wanted to be a part of her CT. Felt really good to be noticed. :D

In potty news, DD2 is halfway towards being potty-trained. She announces when she has to p*o but you have to go real quick because when she says it's coming, it usually means it's just about to come out! Hahaha...sorry for that visual!

Anything else noteworthy to record?

DS entered his school's Declamation contest and won! See my previous post about this. A week later was the Open house and the art show. He had one project put up. will have to scan that.

MIL arrived from Manila. It seems like she will be staying here for good. It was nice to see her again.

I got DD1 enrolled in preschool, the Pre-K program. The only slots available were for the PM classes though. But that's ok. I really like the school and as long as she gets in, whatever sked is fine with me.

DD2 went out without us for the first time. Her godmother picked her up and took her on a birthday date. She was kinda hesitant at first but when she got home, she was really happy. She took home a lot of loot! Hahaha.. Just did a page about it.

DD3 is 2 months and got her shots. Poor baby. 3 shots + 1 oral vaccine. She weighed in at 12 lbs and is now 22 inches long.
