Happy Birthday Tatay!

It's my Dad's 68th bday today. Well... his bday is on the 15th BUT since Manila is ahead, it's already the 15th over there so officially, it's his bday already.
Happy Birthday Tatay!

My mom asked me a couple of days ago to make a scrapbook page for Him to honor him but my creative mojo has been missing so I wasn't able to create one in time. Maybe I'll get to finish one and surprise him one of these days (unless he's reading this, then he won't be surprised anymore).

Anyhoo, I want to honor Tatay for really having the heart of a servant. He has dedicated his life to the work of God and though he had been a leader of a community for over 25(?) years, he had no qualms about stepping down and handing the reins to new leaders when he knew it was time for him to retire. Isn't that a refreshing sight? So many leaders fall into the lure of fame and power. Not him. He knew his place - he was merely serving His God.

It is this deep love for God that is his greatest gift to his children, I think. Well, I can't speak for my bros, but to me, that is what I am most thankful for. He and my mom taught me to love God above all else. And I know that I am being blessed immensely right now because of their faithfulness to God.

So, Tatay, happy birthday! See you soon?

We love you!!!
