January round-up

When I did my 2006 year in review, I mentioned that I'd love to do a monthly round-up as well then bind it into a hardbound book. Seems like this was not an original idea as Katie Pertiet had done exactly that for her 2006 memories. Anyhoo, over at the bebot forums, this has been posted as a challenge as well.
Katie the scrapbook lady has some roundup prompts to help you document the past month. I'd really like to do this monthly project and make scrapbook pages for each month. I know January isn't over yet but I'd like to start writing down the highlights/memories of the past month so i don't forget. I can always add to it later then make a scrap page with pictures and stuff.

Highlights:
Major highlight was of course the birth of our newest angel on Jan. 18. Other celebrations: DS' bday on Jan. 16, my mom's bday on Jan. 28 and our 7th wedding anniv on Jan. 29.
Other note-worth happenings: My mom arrived from the Manila on Jan. 11. Woohoo! Such a BIG help that she's here!!! DD2 had a nasty cut on her lip on Jan 15 and had to be brought to the ER by DH. Would love to have taken a pic of this (not the cut while it was bleeding but at least when it was glued up already) but didn't get a photo. I need to be more conscious of taking photos, I guess. Had my baby shower on Jan. 5.

Other stuff:
- DH has been taking the kids to the park regularly.
- DH and DS have been working on learning to bike without the training wheels. I need to take photos of this.
- The kids have been watching "The Sound of Music" on DVD and are learning the songs. At last, new songs to add to their repertoire.
- DS brought snacks to his class to celebrate his bday.
- I can't find my Social Security card!!! Realized I lost it when we were putting together the papers needed to register for the WIC program. DH was so irritated with me. Good thing we didn't need it after all. I still need to find it or apply for a new card.
- DD1 has started playing on the computer as well. She is learning to use the mouse and play some online games at Playhouse Disney, Nick Jr. and PBS kids. She used to just watch her older bro. but now, she has learned to play as well.
- DH has put back together the old laptop. He got a new LCD monitor for it. He also installed a new motherboard for the desktop so it's working fine now.
- I bought for myself the ACDSee program to organize my scrap supplies.
- Unusually COLD weather here in Southern California. There was frost and ice on some mornings! Temperatures have been lower than normal!

Hmmm... I think that's about it. I'll add to the list when I remember anymore stuff.
