Gestational Diabetes
Yeah, I've got it.Got the call from Kaiser today. Had my awful 3-hour glucose tolerance test yesterday and I still have the bruises from the needles to prove it!
I had the condition with my previous 2 pregnancies.
I was tested earlier in this pregnancy but showed I hadn't developed it yet back then.
I got retested yesterday and yes, I got it.
I was expecting it.
But I still felt like crying after receiving the news.
Argh!
And I still feel like crying now.
Hormones, you say? Probably.
I'm off to sulk now.

ugh. i know how you are feeling joy, i had it with three out of my 7 pregnancies. are you controlling it with insulin or diet? hang in there, God knows best!

I'm controlling it with diet. Didn't have to take insulin with my previous bouts with it. Hoping I won't have to this time around either.
