Tuesday Mutterings

I have a few things I'd like to share today, nothing really deep, just stuff that's been in my mind.

First off, I got this prayer from my son's school.

{A Parent's Prayer}

Heavenly Father, make me a better parent. Teach me to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and to answer all their questions kindly.
Keep me from interrupting them or contradicting them. Make me as courteous to them as I would have them be to me. For bid that I should ever laugh at their mistakes or resort to ridicule when they displease me.
May I never punish them for my own selfish satisfaction or to show my power. Let me not tempt my child to lie or steal and guide me hour by hour that I may demonstrate by all I say and do that honesty produces happiness.
Reduce, I pray, the meanness in me. And when I am out of sorts, help me, O Lord, to hold my tongue. May I ever be mindful that my children are children and I should not expect of them the judgment of adults.
Let me not rob them the opportunity to wait on themselves and to make decisions. Bless me with the bigness to grant them all their reasonable requests and the courage to deny them privileges I know will do them harm. Make me fair, just and kind. And fit me, O Lord, to be loved and respected and imitated by my children.

{Grey's Anatomy}

Are you a fan of the show? I love that show. It is one of my TV guilty pleasures. I've seen every single episode. The characters are just so fun and complex, the storylines are wonderful. It is such a great show overall.
Did you see last Sunday's episode? Wowza! That line Meredith threw at Derek was just classic! It was perfect.
Anyhoo, I just discovered that they have a writer's blog. The people behind the scenes (writers, producers) share their thoughts, etc. for each episode. It is intersting to read their thought processes going into the episodes. It's amazing how they are able to come up with all these characters, dialogues in their heads. Wonderful. {Creative slump}

I haven't done a single scrapbook page since Thursday. It was National Scrapbooking Day last Saturday but I didn't get to participate. There were so many chats and crops and sales going on but I had other things to do. I'm itching to start scrapping again but I just stare at my page and NOTHING! I hope I get over this slump real soon.
