First client

Ok... so I've gone ahead and am seriously pursuing this hobby-business of scrapbooking for others. I'm now in the process of registering my business name, obtaining my tax ID and getting a business license. It's all getting a little scary. And I wonder if it is a good idea at all.
I've read that it is best to write up a business plan. But I have no idea where to start. But it's got me thinking about my business. What do I really want to accomplish?
First of all, this was borne mainly out of a desire to earn something on the side doing what I enjoy doing. But I am not really looking to make it into a big business venture - just enough to afford us some luxuries. One project a month will make me happy.
Second, I want to keep it affordable. I am a self-confessed spendthrift. I do not want to spend excessively. That said, I'd want my prices to be affordable. Quality at an affordable price.
Third, but not least, I want what I do to give glory to God. He has given me the talent. And I desire that what I do with that talent will glorify Him alone.

That third reason has prodded me to pray some more and seek God's input on this. Is this really something He wants me to pursue? I've always believed that if something is in accordance with God's will, things will fall into place. Does this hold true for business matters as well? I've been unable to discern clearly the Lord's will, mostly because I've been remiss in keeping my daily time of prayer. Bad girl me! That is material for another post.

Anyway, right now, I'm working on a friend's scrapbook for her parents who are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary soon. We'll be making the scrapbook into a coffeetable book. I'm really excited about it. My very first client! She is technically my first client even if I'm not charging her what I would normally charge.

Anyway, if you or someone you know has loads of photos stuck in the computer and would like to see them organized into a scrapbook, contact me and we'll start creating your book of memories.

You'll also find some of my personal work HERE. Hope you enjoy looking through my gallery.

Have a wonderful day. God bless.
