2006 goals
As 2005 comes to an end tonight, I'd like to take this time to set some goals for the coming year. I'm not much into resolutions. They have a negative nuance to me. So, for the longest time, I have not really set any resolutions. But recently, a yahoogroup of scrapbooking-for-others-business owners posted this challenge - to set our business and personal goals for the coming year. I believe it makes more sense, as they are more achievable. Instead of having vague resolutions that one often breaks, creating goals can be more positive. Much fulfillment can be had in checking off that list of goals as you achieve them. And when you find that you are getting off track, you can take a look at your list to help you remember where you want to go.So, here is my list (not my final, final list but a list nonetheless)
A. Business goals
1. Finish all the needed paperwork/legal stuff to get my business going by January.
2. Open a business account.
3. Create a marketing plan. Mention my business to all I come in contact with.
4. Land at least 2 major clients during the year. Major meaning ongoing clients that will give me business throughout the year.
5. Keep my bookkeeping clear and up-to-date.
B. Personal goals
1. Keep my daily prayer time.
2. Go the gym at least 3x a week while watching what I eat.
3. Subscribe and actually follow the FLYLady
4. Update my blog at least 2x a month.
5. Create one scrapbook page a week.
6. Finish DD's alphabet scrap album.
7. Start and finish my wedding scrap album.
So, there it is... I've said it, now you can hold me accountable to it!
